Data handling

Answers to the questions consultants ask first. Updated 22 October 2026.

Who can see your documents

Only you. Every document, source file, section and comment is stored with its owner, and the database refuses any request for rows that are not yours. Team workspaces, when they arrive, will extend access only to the colleagues you invite.

Where data is stored

In a dedicated database and file store in Frankfurt, Germany (European Union), encrypted at rest and in transit. There is no Gulf region yet. For clients subject to the Saudi PDPL or similar rules, this is a cross-border transfer: during the beta, do not upload personal data, and use sanitised or non-personal documents where your engagement terms require it.

How the AI is used

Drafting runs on Anthropic's Claude through its commercial API. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train models. Only the text needed for the step you run is sent.

What the AI does not do

It does not invent client facts, approve anything, or publish anything. Every assumption is marked, every check is visible, and nothing reaches your client until you export or share it.

Shared links

A shared interactive pack is a snapshot you choose to publish. Anyone with the link can read it and ask questions about it. You can switch a link off at any time.

Deleting your data

Delete a document and its sources, sections and comments are removed. To close your account and remove everything, email us and it is done within five working days.
